What exactly will SurgiScreen do for my office?
We provide an easy to use web-based application for surgery scheduling requests and a comprehensive screening service for your patients which allows them the convenient option of completing an online pre-surgical history, or they can choose to complete a phone screen with one of our experienced staff members. We then distribute a pre-filled Surgical History and Physical document for each of your patients based on your facility’s anesthesia guidelines and your delivery preferences. As part of our service, SurgiScreen provides a dedicated Physician Office Liaison to train your staff and provide support in the use of SurgiScreen modules.
How does the Surgery Scheduling Request Module work?

Your office staff sends a booking request to the surgical facility and the facility confirms/requests a reschedule of the surgery with your office via an online portal.

The scheduling application is customized for each office. Each surgeon’s surgical cases are listed in a template format. An audit trail shows “who, what, when” for each surgical booking request and each booking confirmation.

How will SurgiScreen help my office save time?
Our web-based SmartBoard™ boarding module reduces administrative work such as phone calls and faxes from your office to schedule procedures and confirm/reschedule surgical times
Is your service HIPAA compliant and completely secure?
Yes, all patient data is fully secured and HIPAA compliant. Our screening staff is trained on HIPAA requirements and constantly monitored to ensure compliance. Data is encrypted using 128‐bit SSL (secure sockets layer) encryption from VeriSign. A detailed process explanation document is available which describes the many levels of security in place.
How do you ensure accurate and complete information is obtained?
Our technologically advanced software includes algorithms based upon your facility’s anesthesia guidelines. All patient information is reviewed by our medical staff which is experienced in pre-surgical screening. An anesthesiologist from your facility will also review the information provided by SurgiScreen prior to the patient’s surgery.
What about patients who need additional lab tests, consults or a physical exam?
Depending upon the level of service you desire, SurgiScreen will inform you of these recommendations. We also have the ability to facilitate the completion of these requirements. In collaboration with your facility, we can identify an appropriate physician or lab facility and send the patient for further examination.
What is the timing for receiving reports from SurgiScreen?
We can generate any desired report at any desired time. At a minimum, a report is available 48 hours prior to surgery, provided the patient is scheduled enough in advance.
What reports and information do you provide to our office?
A Pre-filled Surgical History and Physical for each patient are sent 72 hours prior to surgery. Additionally, you have access to an Assessment Checklist with details on tests completed, tests needed and our recommendations 48 hours prior to surgery. Reports are sent to your office in the manner in which you determine.

Is there a cost for surgeon’s offices to use your service?
No. One of the great advantages of SurgiScreen for physicians is that our service is paid for by your participating facility.
How do we begin using SurgiScreen services?
Once your surgical facility has agreed to use SurgiScreen’s services, our company will arrange a simple online training session for your office staff to teach them how to use the scheduling request module. A Physician Liaison staff member will deliver customized instruction pamphlets for your staff to give to patients when they schedule a surgery. The SurgiScreen system was specifically designed to allow a facility to get “up and running” quickly and easily. All that is required is a single PC with an Internet connection and a printer.
